This is my new friend "Ah girl", she is my ah mah's friend's dog.
Hee hee, Douglas trying to imitate ah girl by sticking his tongue out.
So tired after chasing ah girl around the house.

The meaning of Douglas

Hee hee, me got tagged by Aprilpinky(Ziyu's mummy) to tell what is the meaning and why we chose this name for Douglas. Well, my hubby's name start with a "D" and me start with a "S", so both of us decided to find a name which start with a "D" and end with a "S". We came out with a few names, Dalvis, Damarcus, Douglas, Darlus and Davins. After much discussion with hubby and family, we all agreed that "Douglas" sounds better, and in scottish's meaning, it means powerful (mummy and daddy hope tat Douglas will be powerful in future). As for the chinese name, I perfer to have "xuan" and "en", but then, the words tat the "you hong zi"(geomancer) gave doesn't consist both words. He gave us a few words like "hui","jie","yi"etc. We end up chosing his chinese name as "Yu Zheng Jie", the word "Jie" is quite a special character, not many people use that as it consist a lot of strokes. Too bad I don't have the chinese software to allow me to post it here. That is how Douglas got his name.
